What you need to know about Sandy Hook BioBlitz 2017
The BioBlitz was held at the Sandy Hook Unit of Gateway National Recreation Area in Highlands, New Jersey. The Base Camp was located in the Fort Hancock Parade Grounds immediately behind the American Littoral Society Headquarters, 18 Hartshorne Drive, Highlands, NJ 07732 [map, satellite, directions]. "Base Camp" is where Scientists/Expert Naturalists and Volunteers checked-in before each survey and was the location where all surveys and public programs begin. It was also the place for Scientists/Expert Naturalists and Volunteers to check-in after each survey, and where refreshments were found between surveys.
